About WORK180

Empowering every woman to choose a workplace where they can thrive

Make career decisions with confidence

For far too long, women* have faced unfair barriers in their careers. WORK180 is helping to change this story by flipping the hiring process 180 degrees and putting the power in the hands of the candidate.

On the WORK180 job board, it’s the employers who need to impress. As well as sharing their benefits and policies for you to consider, they must prove their commitment to diversity and inclusion. And like you, we have high standards — only 80% of organizations that apply to become an Endorsed Employer meet our criteria.

The WORK180 story

Before founding WORK180 with Valeria Ignatieva, Gemma Lloyd had spent years in the technology industry. This exposed her to both organizations that did and did not support women. For Valeria, a single parent to a son with a disability, the continuous rejection of her need for flexible working meant she couldn’t even get back on the career ladder.

It was clear to both Gemma and Valeria that the working world was failing women. And so together, they created WORK180, a transparent job board where women can confidently apply to workplaces with a proven commitment to diversity, inclusion, and gender equality.

Helping organizations to improve

Every two weeks, a WORK180 Endorsed Employer improves a policy. These policy changes impact 280,000 employees a year.

Our social impact goes beyond gender

Workplaces should be fair and equal for everyone. That’s why our pre-screening criteria also includes questions around initiatives that focus on age, ability, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. For example, we ask organizations the following::
