Call for Researchers (Specialty Open) at Microsoft Research New England

Promoting research that transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries is a core strength and enduring value of Microsoft Research New England. Researchers in our lab were trained in diverse academic departments, including computer science, economics, media studies, mathematics, statistics, and others. We seek applicants in Microsoft Research New England (Cambridge, MA) for full-time positions that build on and extend the lab’s strengths as well as those who can foster new connections between them.

Responsibilities

As a researcher in MSR, you will define your own research agenda, driving forward an effective program of basic, fundamental, and applied research. In addition to driving your own research agenda, we highly value collaboration and building new ideas with members of the group and others. You have the direct opportunity to realize your ideas in products and services used worldwide.

Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant discipline expected by start of employment
  • Research accomplishments demonstrated by publications or preprints (quality is more important than quantity)
  • Research interests that allow for fruitful interaction with others in the lab and company
