The M365 Customer Key based Data @ Rest Encryption team is looking for a highly driven Software Engineer to design and implement features in the Service, that enables the customer data/content in the M365 services to be secure and safe by enabling data to be encrypted at rest used customer owned keys.

We are looking for highly driven and motivated Senior Software Engineer to design and implement features in the Service, that enables the customer data/content in the M365 services to be secure and safe by enabling data to be encrypted at rest used customer owned keys.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and automate service scale features and customer requirements
  • Be part of a Dev-Ops team that handles and remediates customer impacting issues
  • Collaborate with partner teams to meet the engineering goals in a unified manner
  • Design and implement features/service for Customer key/Microsoft Managed Data @ Rest Encryption
  • Be part of a Dev-Ops team that handles and operates the O365 service
  • Collaborate with partner teams to meet the engineering goals in a unified manner
  • Contribute to significantly improving the security rigor of our system to be best-in-world

Qualifications

Core Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field).
  • 5+ years of experience designing, building, and successfully releasing software products.
  • Proficient in the use of .Net Framework, C# and Powershell
  • Proficient in delivering and interacting with REST API’s and web services across multiple systems
  • Experience with cloud-scale services and server/service management features.
  • Able to learn new systems quickly and adapt new methodologies to our service

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with building cloud-scale infrastructure components.
  • Awareness, passion and experience related to cloud scale distributed design and patterns.
  • Familiar with secure software design concepts
  • Familiar with data sovereignty and Encryption standards/concepts and data privacy regulations
  • Proven track record of delivering projects that include multiple components
  • Ability and eagerness to work across and partner with multiple engineering teams to achieve business goals

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
