The Azure Container Registry (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/container-registry/) allows users to manage a private Container registry on the cloud. Our service enables customers to store, build and run container images and helm charts across all types of Azure deployments, keep container artifacts near deployments to reduce latency and costs, maintain Windows and Linux container images in a single Docker registry, use familiar, open-source Docker and helm command line interface (CLI) tools, and simplify registry access management with Azure Active Directory. The team focus on bringing geo-distributed, hyper-scale and low latency docker registry and premium features like modern container builds and tasks to the hands of our customers and thus allowing organizations of all sizes to have access to world-class container infrastructure and services.
Microsoft Container Registry (MCR) is the primary Registry for all Microsoft Published docker images that offers a reliable and trustworthy delivery of container images with a syndicated catalog, while maintaining the quality that customers expect from a Microsoft product offering.

We are looking for talented engineers who meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements to join us. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
This position can be located either at Redmond, WA or Reston, VA. They will report directly to the ACR Engineering Manager at Redmond. They will work with their peers in a remote fashion if located at Reston, participating in entire feature development cycle including design, implementation and testing phases all the way to deployment and live site support.
3+ years of coding experience in a modern programming language such as C#, C++, or Go, Python
Strong technical and problem solving skills
Self-driven, can work independently and is capable of dealing with ambiguities
BS degree holders are required to have 3+ years of software development experience
MS and Ph.D degree holders are required to have 2+ years of software development experience
Experience working with open source projects
Experience with Docker and DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, DC/OS, Docker Swarm
Experience with cloud infrastructure such as Azure or AWS
Experience with Linux servers
Security Clearance Requirements:
Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customers and/or government security screening requirements for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.
Candidates must have an active TS and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph) or have an active TS/SCI and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph). This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance.
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
