The Member Growth Services team is searching for a passioned cloud services engineer who has a deep knowledge of services frameworks, reliability, scalability, and data, striving for services excellence. The Team is looking ahead to design and build new world class services for upcoming Windows releases – this is a great opportunity to be part of the design and build, from ground up, of brand-new services. The Team operates in combined engineering, embraces continuous development, services excellence, and have well optimized Agile processes to support continuous shipping.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an engineer with passion for architecture, building blocks, and complex systems, alongside with customer focus and engineering fundamentals, coupled with technical leadership experience in driving high-scale services and the power of data to taken actions/decisions.

You will be driving the design, build and maintenance of different backend services powering Windows and AMC; these experiences are / will be visited by millions of customers globally a day. You will be setting the technical direction to deliver high-scale, highly available micro services that leverage the latest technology.

As part of the team, you will have responsibilities to maintain and improve our services in production by proactively monitor, react to customer issues, perform investigations, implement mitigations and deployments to guarantee that we operate an healthy system. You will also be responsible for evaluating system topology and capacity to ensure that services are able to handle user demand.

This role offers the opportunity to work with numerous partner teams and create huge gains for Microsoft by enabling brand new scenarios. It is also an opportunity to demonstrate and strength technical leadership skills, by having immediate product impact.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications:

- Extensive Experience with managed-code development including C# and/or Java

- Proficiency in RESTful web services technologies (for example JSON, WebAPI, ASP.Net and OData)

- Proficiency in NoSQL data storage systems and patterns (for example Azure Tables, CosmosDB, Cassandra)

- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies preferred

- Excellent partnership, communication, and coordination skills

- Understanding of the latest data storage, analysis, and visualization systems (Azure Tables, CosmosDB, Cosmos, Kusto, PowerBI)

Experience Required

- 5 or more years of cloud service experience

- 7 or more years of general design and coding experience

- Experience with building, extending, and servicing extremely large scale, high-reliability RESTful web services

- Experience with OOP, TDD, and agile development models
