The Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) organization is seeking a leader for our Regional Scaling and Strategy function. This role is responsible for the creation of region launch plans to support our rapidly scaling global data center infrastructure supply requirements which support the full spectrum of Microsoft products and services including Azure, Office365, Exchange, xBox, and many more. Data Center Supply Planning sits at the nexus of a myriad of cross-functional and cross-organizational teams which come together to deliver data center supply starting with the demand signal and ending with physical data center infrastructure in production ready state.

This leader of this critically important function will be responsible for our Region Strategic Review processes. This involves supporting a high tempo rhythm of business to generate flawless supply plans, signal execution teams with high precision and fidelity, respond with agility to demand and supply, drive changes on short intervals. Moreover, the leader of this function will own the roadmap for process and software tool adoption to drive disruptive change improvements that facilitate speed to market.

The role requires deep expertise in Data Center strategy, total cost to serve, statistical inventory management methods, advanced planning systems and methodologies, and IT infrastructure concepts


Lead the Region Scaling and Strategy team, both in terms of execution of the rhythm of business and ongoing maturation of scaling processes.

Prepare, present, and discuss data center supply strategy with senior leadership relating to planning policies, planning parameters, and supply plan outputs in support of investment decisions.

Identify, evaluate, and implement data center supply planning improvements drawing on statistical methods, supply chain management principles, S&OP best practices, and emerging software technology capabilities including ML/AI.

Build and manage a collaborative and supportive team that delivers impactful business results.

Work across a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure we collaboratively improve, adapt, and adopt our processes and supporting software systems to support rapidly changing business requirements.



  • BS/BA degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years in supply chain management, manufacturing planning and control, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years Data Center industry experience such as data center region strategy, metro-level network design and delivery, critical environment fit-out, or IT infrastructure project management.


  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive projects and build buy-in and support.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing a business-critical function.
