Job Description

TITLE: Lead Network Engineer

DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC., seeks Lead Network Engineer in Riverwoods, IL to design and engineer platforms into production enterprise infrastructures. Lead, facilitate and assist senior engineers with developing strategic architecture for next generation network services and emerging transport methods. Assist in the definition of monitoring and trending scenarios for the operational teams to increase efficiencies. Assist in driving complex modifications and upgrade to existing network infrastructure in support of evolving enterprise requirements. Remain vigilant on unit cost reduction and cost containment. Propagate common goals, direction and standards established by more senior engineers. Act as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced team members. Monitor project schedules, unit and total costs. Provide escalation support as required. Promote a risk-ware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative field and four (4) years of experience in job offered or related position: developing test infrastructures; identifying various technical alternatives and developing implementation plans that ensures compliance with change control processes and adherence to standards; reporting data through presentations and suggested required changes. Three (3) years of experience must include: managing complex network projects; managing and configuring Cisco Nexus Data Center Concepts (FEX, VDC, VPC, Fabric-Path, VRF, OTV, LISP, VXLAN) and platforms including 2k, 5k, 7k, 9k; utilizing technologies including F5, Citrix NetScaler Experience, OSPF, BGP, Spanning- Tree, HSRP, VRRP, Network applications such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, Hypervisor, UCS and ESX; deploying, managing and troubleshooting with Cisco Wireless networking to including: 802.11a, b, g, n & ac, CAPWAP, Flex Connect, WLC and APs, Prime Infrastructure Identity Services Engine (ISE); working with 802.11 wireless network standards, wireless security protocols and systems, wireless design principles, RF technology, and wireless network control systems; administrating end-to-end WLAN solutions, using new and upcoming Wireless technology standards and protocols.
