We are looking for up and coming college graduates to be the future of Microsoft. As a consultant or services professional, you will be a strategic advisor to Microsoft’s enterprise customers and partners helping them optimize their business performance and be on the front line dedicated to solving their technical challenges. You will possess a solid understanding of your customer’s business, industry and needs as cloud and emerging technologies enable digital transformation opportunities for their organizations.  You will be responsible for delivering solutions to enable the customer’s desired outcomes, working closely with other teams.

To be considered as a student or recent graduate, you should be on track to graduate by June 2021 or have graduated no earlier than March 2020.

Responsibilities

Customer Success Account Manager

Overview

To this end, Microsoft invests in a dedicated Customer Success team that will help Microsoft customers successfully realize their business outcomes.

As a Customer Success Account Manager (CSAM), you are the primary customer facing role responsible for customer success through the management of program deliveries and strong customer relationships. The prevailing business priority is the customers’ successful adoption and productive use of Microsoft cloud technologies. You are front and center with our customers supporting their digital journey and empowering them to achieve more!

Responsibilities

Customer Success Account Managers drive quality planning and delivery of Support services to realize customer business outcomes and overall experience with Microsoft solutions. ​ You will partner with your customer and Account Team to prioritize and plan customer engagements and programs, driving outcomes to improve the health, performance, and business capabilities of the prioritized workloads. You will drive orchestration, customer sponsor management, and stakeholder communication of prioritized engagements and programs. ​ The CSAM also tracks, escalates, and plans for the remediation of technical blockers and provides engineering feedback to further our product and solutions, as appropriate.

Customer Engineer

Overview

Customer Engineers (CEs) are deep technical advisors supporting Enterprise customers to deliver unique value by removing blockers to consumption within their given Solution Area. CEs provide technical support including risk assessments and tuning to operate and optimize a customer’s cloud or on-premises environment. The Customer Engineer provides support delivery services as well as technical readiness through a Customer’s Support contract via dispatch by the account team. Customer Engineer services can be delivered either remotely or on-premises.

Responsibilities

CEs participate in proactive account management, spot performance issues, analyze problems, develop solutions to meet customer needs and represent them. ​ The CE provides the most effective method of service delivery by analyzing trends and common themes across customers and seeks information about the underlying needs of customers. CEs cultivate relationships, credibility, and loyalty with customers and partners intentionally by sharing relevant business expertise. The CE identifies opportunities to articulate business value and grow customer/partner relationships in alignment with Customer Success business priorities and stakeholder management principles.

Consultant

Overview

Consultants are strategists who work closely with Microsoft's partners to assist customers in the delivery of high-quality engagements around Microsoft's solution areas, technologies, services and products in diverse client environments.

Responsibilities

Consultants assist customers in stabilizing developed solutions using Microsoft methodologies in complex customer environments, in the design and development of integrated solutions using the latest Microsoft products, services and technologies and understanding the relevant application development, infrastructure and operations implications of the developed solution.

Project Manager

Overview

Project Managers display an unusual mix of project management and consulting skills, along with a passion for technology to ensure a project’s success with our customers.

Responsibilities

Project Managers are responsible for keeping the project team working on the highest priority tasks, removing risks and impediments, maintaining on track financials and leading the communication with stakeholders and the end customer. As a trusted advisor to our customers, Project Managers are responsible for the successful execution of one or more projects at a time, providing guidance, coaching, and project leadership. Project Managers mentor and influence to drive the highest quality and the strongest sense of customer focus on each project, while helping to achieve both customer satisfaction and financial targets.

Role-specific qualifications:

  • A good understanding of business, specifically with Fortune 500 companies and the relationship between business and technology

Support Engineer

Overview

Support Engineers serve as the first point of contact for Microsoft’s customers and partners via phone, email or web. They deliver unique value by collaboratively and reactively solving customer problems, providing proactive support advice, contributing to product quality and enhancements and creating self-help assets to broadly reach more customers.

Responsibilities

Using technical expertise and excellent communication skills, Support Engineers are responsible to fix real time issues, collaborating directly with the customers and other support professionals to help customers solve business problems. Support Engineers are great problem solvers with keen analytical skills, who love working with industry leading technologies and are excellent communicators, asking good questions and demonstrating empathy.

Role-specific qualifications:

  • Experience working in a large data center, IT/operations department or helpdesk/customer service is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and superior customer-service skills desired
  • Professional certifications (SharePoint, Windows, MCITP, etc.) are desired
  • One or two years of experience with VB, C/C++/C# and/or XML
  • Strong analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Pursuit Lead

Overview

Pursuit Leads are key participants in driving the sales growth of solutions and provide leadership to all domain assigned resources and activities to support opportunity qualification, scoping, estimating, costing, risk identification and mitigations, contract preparation, and delivery of contracted work to the delivery teams.

Responsibilities

Pursuit Leads (PL) are responsible for supporting the presales process by shaping and scoping deals to satisfy customer's requirements. PLs partner with account aligned sales teams to understand customer needs and requirements, and leads domain delivery resources through the pre-sales activities of designing a solution (architecture, approach, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), estimating, costing, etc.).​​ Pursuit Leads work with the domain Leadership Team (LT) to define and execute demand generation activities in their defined territory, with the aim of increasing customer awareness of Enterprise Services solutions, and driving increased customer engagement and interest in new solutions and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Microsoft Product Certification, MCSE or other technical certifications preferred
  • Passion for technology and working with customers
  • Ability to manage executive relationships, both internally and with customers, to create business transformation
  • Excellent communication skills and superior customer-service skills desired
  • Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision and as part of regional/virtual teams
