The Education Data Platform team is looking for a great Sr. Program Managerto serve Education customers globally with passion to make a difference in the future of M365 by deploying, training, and growing the next generation of intelligent data platforms and solutions. The Education Team at Microsoft is a group of high talented, passionate, and eager program managers, project and product managers, engineers, architects, and are all focused to deliver Microsoft value across all of the Education spectrum. We have resources, opportunity, and above all phenomenal customers across K12 and Higher Education as well as working hand-in-hand with our Partners, EdTech Providers (ISVs), and System Integrators to build, deploy, and growth the Education Data Platform, a solution that will change the landscape of how education data is managed, captured, stored, shared, and secured. Responsibilities

  • As a key customer facing member of the Edu Customer Success team, the best candidate will best lead by:
  • Joining a robust and empowered team to challenge, grow, and evolve the existing customer facing implementations, deployments, trainings, and support capabilities to create Raving Fans across a diverse, global customer base
  • Provide direct leadership to a growing team of peers and team members to empower each of them to achieve more through your impact across the organization
  • Design, build, and collaborate on global solutions including certifications for Education Partners to increase our ability to scale, improve levels of service and satisfaction across our customer base
  • Manage, monitor, and hold peers and team members accountable for generating performance basedgoals
  • Being prepared to serve direct and indirect customers, partners, system integrators, and cross team collaborative efforts to deliver the best in solutions, at scale and with speed supporting our global growth
  • Track record of delivering quality solutions as a technical leader using standard architectural methods, processes, and tools
  • Proven experience selling consulting engagements, which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk
  • Demonstrated excellence facilitating customer design & awareness sessions focused on complex application solution architectures
  • Deep Technology knowledge, ideally with experience in multiple sectors and industries
  • Demonstrated capabilities in developing an understanding of the customer business value associated with the deployment of modern business productivity, system-to-system, and end-user applications
  • Architectural understanding of and implementation experience with the following solution architecture areas:
    • Modern Applications, Business Productivity including but not limited to portal and browser-based workflow solutions, Application Architectures including the use of cloud-based technology capabilities such as Azure and SPO, Application Life Cycle Management and Application Platform processes and technology capabilities, Data and DB Management, SQL/BI, and application middle-ware and messaging architectures
  • Large enterprise deployment experience in complex heterogeneous environments 
  • Ability to move between high-level architectural review/design; level of actually doing all phases of an application delivery project
  • Experience leading virtual teams on high complexity, high value projects

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in designing, building and/or delivering solutions to customers at scale, quickly, and thoroughly with high customer success
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Engineering or related discipline, with technical aptitude or 7+ years of equivalent industry experience

Preferred:

  • Passion for evolving education, understanding the nuances, team members, customer needs making the complicated simple and deployable at scale
  • Skillfully navigate challenging conversations, recognizing and understanding nuances while tactfully prioritizing impactful projects
  • You are relentless in the pursuit of insight into how the product and strategy are doing in market - who loves it, for what scenarios and why
  • In addition to being a great individual contributor, desire to teach and empower those you manage as part of collaborations, projects, and customer
  • Be customerobsessed and solution focused
  • Understand cloud deployment and adoption planning to drive Customer Satisfaction
  • Working knowledge of the Education market preferred but not required
  • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and follow through
  • Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, where and when needed, to do what’s right for the customer, partner and for the organization (i.e. think through workarounds, evaluate risk of various deployment options, etc.)
  • Demonstrated technical thought leadership in customer facing situations
