The Product Release and Security Services (PRSS) team in the Cloud + AI team build and operate security services (codesign, antimalware & vuln scanning, Public Key Infrastructure, Encryption etc.) that ensure every software that Microsoft ships to customers is secure, trustworthy and ready for public release. This includes the entire gamut of software from Azure code that gets shipped to the cloud, Office and Windows, 3rd party content including Store apps, AAA game titles, Gitbhub content and commercial software such as SQL and Dynamics.
We are a global (Puerto Rico, Dublin, India & Puget Sound), diverse and inclusive team looking for a Program Manager with strong customer focus, deep technical knowledge and willingness to learn and grow on the job.
You will help build, evolve and manage the platform for the security services we deliver, on all aspects ranging from the bare-metal to micro-services running on Azure Service Fabric and containers.
Strong Customer focus: need deep empathy for customer scenarios and requirements and be the voice of the customer.
Data Driven: articulate crisply what success means, use data to measure success and drive day to day decisions.
Handle ambiguity in a fast paced, changing environment with several moving parts and create clarity for the rest of the team.
Guide complex platform architectural initiatives with strong technical expertise
Juggle priorities across multiple partners and stakeholders
Manage the E2E project lifecycle from understanding business goals & user needs, performing competitive research & understanding the landscape, gathering requirements, creating product plans and delivering and supporting the end to end solution
3+ years of Program management or similar job experience with experience shipping software and services.
- Open to considering strong candidates looking to switch from dev to PM role
Excellent communication skills both on the business and technical fronts and throughout project the lifecycle.
BS/BA degree, preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
