Senior Program Manager

We're looking for an experienced product manager to deliver tools and experiences for Azure developers & devops customers that they will use and love. One core aspect of the role is to drive the experiences for ARM [Azure Resource Manager] in Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code, enabling a primary method to define and deploy resources needed in Azure.

You will also take the lead in defining the toolset we need to engage developers with our developer services including Azure Config Service, Azure Redis Cache, Azure Labs, and more.

As a part of this you understand your customer's issues from top to bottom and you will drive tirelessly to ensure wide ranges of customers are successful building and deploying their applications using these services.

You will be joining a past paced, collaborative team where your ideas become features that ship every few weeks.


Be a depth expert on our external and internal cloud customers through customer development, data, and strong relationships

Define and drive metrics around engaged usage and customer success for our tooling products

Advance customer successes leveraging our Azure developer services

Design solutions rapidly through experimentation and direct customer validation

Drive and plan multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate status to partners, stakeholders, and developer division management

Research and analyze competitive cloud tools and platforms to distill the essence of industry trends

Evangelize your features in the developer community through docs, samples, blogs, videos, and events


Basic Qualifications: 

4+ years experience in Technical Program or Product Management

BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Preferred Qualifications: 

Industry or consulting experience building and diagnosing distributed cloud applications

Proven track record for defining a technical vision and leading it to demonstrable business results with the product

Scenario and user experience design skills 

Hands on experience as a developer, program manager, consultant or architect for cloud based applications

Ability to dig deep into technical challenges

Analytical skills required to set future direction and product plans based on data

Strong sense of teamwork, personal integrity, responsibility and accountability

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong customer advocate, self-starter and problem solver

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
