We are the Accessibility Insights team within the One Engineering System organization. We have been chartered and funded to improve the quality of the accessibility tools used within Microsoft. In our first few years, we have built developer-centric diagnostic tools for web, Windows desktop, and Android mobile. These tools have been very well received by our initial users and we are looking to extend these tools with more features and coverage. We have also shared these tools with the world as open-source projects.
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 or more years of professional experience designing, developing, and shipping high quality software.
- Experience delivering accessible software is a plus Great problem solving and design skills, with demonstrated passion for quality, performance, and engineering excellence.
- Knowledge and passion for Agile development practices, including continuous integration, test-driven development, and pair programming.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
