As the fastest growing business application in Microsoft’s history, Teams is redefining how our customers collaborate and communicate in their environment. Teams addresses the needs of a diverse workforce by bringing together several tools and communication methods (calling, meeting, first, second and third-party apps) as a hub for collaboration.
Enterprise adoption of Teams is typically blocked on key asks in the security and compliance space. Much like emails, Teams is increasingly becoming the surface area for security hardening as well as enterprise compliance requirements like eDiscovery, retention, supervision and many more. We are seeking a seasoned Principal Program Manager who can own, define and drive this important charter. These capabilities will delight our customers and further differentiate Teams from its competition.

Customer champion: Be the voice of the customer and identify opportunities in compliance & security for Teams.
Create the vision and strategy: Define the features, experiences, and capabilities that will help Teams lead the industry in this space.
Communicating ideas: Drive clarity by writing papers, developing experiences, and writing specs that will illustrate the opportunity, develop the plan, and keep our team and our partner teams on the same page. This includes working closely with PMs and engineers on our own team as well as PMs and engineers across many partner teams within the company. Provide technical and product leadership to a team of highly passionate engineers.
Cross team collaboration: Work closely with partner teams across Microsoft to build trust and influence how they can help meet the security & compliance needs for Teams. Manage a schedule for timely delivery of features both within Teams & across different partner teams.
- 8+ years of program management experience delivering end-user and/or admin facing products and services
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
