Microsoft Federal serves the U.S. Government (USG), allowing Microsoft to support the growing government business. The organization supports the capabilities and requirements to service USG through direct sales, contracting, and billing with the USG. Microsoft Federal entity will meet obligations of manage contracts with the USG through six business teams and three enablement teams.

If so, this is a great opportunity for you. Microsoft Federal is looking for a Customer Engineer. In this role you will be working with customers and partners building, deploying, operating and optimizing large complex enterprise environments. You will also be responsible for customer satisfaction, deployment, adoption and support of enterprise Microsoft deployments.
Serving as a vital customer facing technical resource, you will be responsible for providing a mixture of tailored proactive services and reactive assistance that span the planning, migration and operations of Office 365; ultimately driving successful customer adoption and satisfaction.
We are seeking a Customer Engineer who specializes in Office 365 (Exchange) or Microsoft Exchange On-Premise implementations who will partner with customer business decision makers and IT teams to understand their business requirements and address these using Microsoft technologies.
As a Customer Engineer you will be a key technical resource for the customer, primarily focused on delivering proactive services such as education workshops, delivering assessments and providing tailored guidance. Troubleshooting skills are essential as this role will include working with Microsoft Premier Support to expedite incident resolution.
The role can include a mixture of short and long-term customer engagements.
- Three (3) or more years of experience with Exchange Server 2007, Exchange Server 2010, Exchange Server 2013, Exchange Server 2016 or Exchange Online in a support or consulting role.
- The planning, migration and operations of Office 365 in both Hybrid and Cloud-only configurations.
- In-depth knowledge of supporting and complementary technologies, such as AD FS, Azure Active Directory Connect and PowerShell.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment where technology and customers' requirements can change regularly.
- Demonstrated aptitude for providing extraordinary customer service in politically charged environments.
- Possess a passion for continuous learning, strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking and good judgement.
- Ability to apply knowledge to improve Microsoft products and the customer experience
The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.
The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate U.S. Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
Cloud Screening: Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.
