The 1ES Program Management team is looking for a Program Manager to help to help us drive improvements in engineering processes, tools and services that Microsoft engineers use every day with the goal of helping them to move from ideas to shipping features faster, and with less friction.

Responsibilities

The focus of this role is developer productivity, specifically the build space, for the very largest codebases at Microsoft, impacting thousands of developers. You will identify the right build experiences through customer research, write specifications and work across several world class engineering teams & organizations, including GitHub and LinkedIn, to deliver build features that improve engineering satisfaction and productivity.


The right candidate will possess a technical background since your customers would be internal Microsoft developers and their peers. You will be working with multiple large organizations across Microsoft, so you will have the opportunity to influence beyond your own organization chain. Program Management background, demonstrated experience creating, evolving, and communicating feature area specifications, experience with customer research and design methods are essentials skills we are looking for.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or human factors design
  • 2+ years experience delivering features into commercially shipping software products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated cross team collaboration and project execution capabilities.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience with engineering systems is a plus.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
