INTERN - IT Service Desk

The qualified candidate will work as an integral part of an internal Service Desk team. They will learn business skills as well as gain valuable experience with computer imaging, Active Directory (AD) administration and troubleshooting, call handling and dispatch as well as process creation and implementation in a fast paced professional environment. The qualified candidate will be enrolled in Information Technology program and possess good troubleshooting skills and a good grasp of the English language. Multi-lingual ability is a plus.


  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems or requests
  • Respond to telephone calls, instant messages, email and walk-ups for Technical support
  • Document, track, and monitor all problems using existing ticketing system to ensure a timely resolution of the incident or request
  • Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems
  • Interface with vendors to schedule hardware repairs
  • Install and configure associate’s workstations using standard imaging process.
  • Provide end users support for all standard applications
  • Assist with data recovery, using backup or data recovery tools
  • Virus / Malware remediation
  • Perform other duties or special projects as requested related to area of responsibility


Education & Experience

  • Must be enrolled in a college or university Computer Science or Information Technology program
  • Must be familiar with basic computer and networking technology

Knowledge & skills

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Mac OS X
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Office 2016
  • Familiarity with computer networking (LAN, Wi-Fi,VPN)
  • Must have a strong work ethic, organization skills, the desire to learn and is not afraid to ask questions
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
