Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you are responsible for;

  • Participate in and contribute to large and complex projects to develop tools and organization capabilities to support a data driven supply chain. Own assigned tasks and resolve general problems with minimal guidance. Act as subject matter expert and train others to use core models and data tools.
  • Responsible for implementing Supply Chain initiatives to reduce cost and improve service focused on global performance. Construct process maps, collect data, perform analyses, deliver recommendations, and implement process improvement initiatives relative to end-to-end supply chain.
  • Partner with Production Planning, Sourcing teams to identify opportunities in Inventory reduction and develop business cases.
  • Analyze global inventory flow planning and forecasted availability.
  • Complete on demand data mining and complex ad hoc analysis concerning inventory management, order management, operations, metrics,
  • Manage and track performance trends impacting inventory availability and make recommendations around planning parameters assumptions
  • Applies analytical skills, tools and techniques to improvement efforts.
  • Maintain healthy stock levels and flows for each site by keeping all stock types within acceptable ranges
  • Provide guidance to planning and materials teams to balance inventory according to safety stock levels
  • Create documentation / Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all process work.

What your background should look like:
  • Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering degree
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Experience using an ERP/MRP system in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in multiple tools such as Excel
  • CPIM is a plus
  • Mfg-Pro experience is a plus
