We are a small but growing team that is developing cloud-based application on Azure that helps teams in Microsoft to manage billions of dollars of spend more effectively. We are developing the application with a goal to decentralize budget planning, spend management and forecasting and empower engineering and other teams to manage spend with ease. Our application ingests millions of records of transactional data and helps make sense of information buried in traditional ERP systems. With rapid adoption of the solution, we are looking for ways to better manage our growing data and build additional features. We are also partnering with various teams in Microsoft to build integration with variety of other platforms and applications including Azure spend.

You will be part of a team responsible for building next generation of intelligent financial spend management application that is changing the way how things are done at Microsoft. We are looking for a software engineer with strong data management background. To be successful in this role you will help design modern data pipeline to collect, organize, and process data from multiple sources into SQL Azure. You will Design, develop, test, tune, and implement database objects and any supporting T-SQL scripts using Microsoft SQL Server and Visual Studio. This includes but is not limited to stored procedures, views, functions, data manipulation scripts and ETL. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Experience with Coding skills in C# and modern web stack along with web API development experience is a big plus. - 5+ years of proven experience in database development, design, and management.
- Expertise in database technology with solid understanding and hands-on skills with SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, replication, database mirroring.
- Proficiency with large data sets (structured and unstructured) and relational databases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics
- Experience with Azure Data Factory/Azure Data Lake. Working with big data, HD Insights, and Azure ML
- Knowledge of unstructured datasets (Hadoop, Cosmos, Data Bricks etc.)
- Designed and developed scalable cloud services using MS Azure infrastructure
- Knowledge of Dynamics Power Platform & Common Data Service.
