The M365 Learning team creates role-based online training that teaches customers across the globe how to use Microsoft products and services. We’re seeking passionate instructional designer/content developers to create engaging content for Microsoft 365 products including Microsoft Teams and Office. You’ll work with world-class designers, content creators, and engineering teams to create world-class training content – in text, video, exercises, and hands-on labs. Your work will help people in businesses, governments, and schools meet challenges like remote work and cyber-security threats, digitally transform their work, and achieve more. You’ll also use data to understand how to improve experiences and content to help learners have the magical experiences they expect. You’ll gain perspective into the future and a chance to shape how that future impacts millions of people around the globe.

  • Envision and drive experiments to test out new ideas
  • Collaborate with your team to be sure we have the right training content for product releases and events

Qualifications

What you'll need

  • 3+ years experience in instructional design, training development, or training delivery (technical training preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively in a friendly but professional voice that is tuned to different audiences
  • Track record of delivering quality projects under tight deadlines and on time
  • Experience identifying stakeholders, gathering dependencies, and managing change.
  • Natural curiosity, especially for modern technology
  • Comfortability with data and data-informed experimentation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products, services, and capabilities
  • Portfolio of training samples for review
  • BA/BS degree in English, Journalism, Technical Communications, Informatics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Great to have

  • Experience working in IT or writing about it
  • Experience working with or managing vendor projects
  • Experience producing videos or visual content
  • Experience/comfortable using git and GitHub as a content management system
  • Experience with markdown
