Microsoft Edge has adopted the Chromium open source project and our team is on an amazing journey to advance privacy protections for end-users while continuing to empower developers to deliver amazing experiences. We are contributing to the Chromium project in storage, networking, privacy, graphics, media, and many other areas that power both Microsoft Edge and other Chromium-based browsers. Through features like Tracking Prevention, we’re also providing differentiating end-user privacy protections that users love. In addition to core product development, we also help define the future of cross-browser standards through groups such as the W3C Privacy Community Group.
We are looking for Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about evolving the future of privacy on the web. In this job, you would contribute to standards that help put users in control of how their browsing activity is collected, shared, and managed and implementing the features in our C++-based codebase. Your contributions will have a meaningful impact to nearly every person that uses the web.

In this position, you will:
- Develop and improve privacy-focused features that empower customers to own their privacy on the web while continuing to have a healthy web ecosystem.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively in both open source projects such as Chromium and within Microsoft Edge.
- Help define privacy focused web standards in the W3C.
- 3+ years of C++ experience is required
- 5+ years experience troubleshooting software issues and debugging large codebase is required
- Cross-platform development experience is nice to have
