Who we’re looking for

We are hiring a Sr. Engineer to help us build our next generation of Data Platforms and Data Pipelines to help expand our growing suite of e-commerce advertising products. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the innovation and evolution of a large and rapidly changing industry, at a scale few other places can match.

Engineers on the Data team work together to build our data platform and critical ETL pipelines while advancing best practices [think resiliency and maintainability] for not only the data team, but the rest of the organization.

Our Culture:


  • Design and implement new features and enhancements to our platform that require hard real-time constraints and elegant, yet powerful software solutions at scale.
  • Provide thought leadership and architectural expertise and manage cross-team integration
  • Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code
  • Participate in design discussions about new features and ensure real-time technology integrates seamlessly with other pieces of the platform
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with engineering and product teams
  • Lead greenfield / R&D projects and take joy in experimentation.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation


Required Qualifications

  • BS/MS/PHD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in architecting and building highly available Real-time or batch data systems at scale and their supporting services
  • 5+ years of experience architecting and building distributed systems
  • 2+ years of experience in designing big data pipelines
  • 2 + years of experience designing and optimizing data base schemas
  • 1 year of experience leading and productionizing a technology project
  • Expertise in Python or equivalent programming language (GoLang, Java, C++, etc.)
  • Strong theoretical fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and time & space complexity tradeoffs

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional/industry experience
  • Passionate about designing elegant ETL pipelines
  • Experience and expertise in Airflow, Spark, Hadoop, the ELK stack, Kafka etc.
  • Expertise and experience in building Large Data Lakes and data warehouses
