As part of the Office Shared organization, the Office Docs team in Cambridge/MA builds intelligent cloud-connected collaboration features for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint across all platforms. Our focus is on features that leverage the cloud to help customers work together more effectively, regardless of the time zone or physical location. We build user experiencesand infrastructure for the Web, Win32, iOS, and Android. These include collaboration featureslike commenting, notifications, and catching up on changes in documents. We also focus on the AI/ML space, including intelligence for the newFluid Framework document canvas.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with program managers and designers to architect, implement, unit test and ship new features.
  • Monitor telemetry and scorecards for success indicators. Validate changes through multiple rings of customers.
  • Define and participate in processes that enable the team to work with greater agility, release rapidly across different versions and platforms, and deliver high quality code to customers world-wide.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

6+ years of software development experience.

Strong C#, C++, Java, or equivalent language skills.

Excellent hands-on coding, architecture, validation, and debugging skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Good communication and strong collaboration skills.

Passion for building software that connects people.

Deep passion for customers, product architecture, data analysis and technology.

Experience with Windows or Mac OS.

Demonstrated experience in shipping high-quality products.

BS/BA in computer science, or equivalent technical experience.
