Software Engineer in BAS SAP MDM Team

Job Description:

As part of the Business Applications & Services (BAS) PM & SAP team, you will be personally involved in leading the designing, configuring the business requirements & features that enable our mission critical business partners. You will work closely with peers across teams (inside IT and across the company) to help build flexible and high-performing Business Process Monitoring Solutions that enable next generation of business services. This is a data-driven and fast paced environment - where Software Engineer (Solution Manager Expert) are empowered to innovate and take ideas from conception to scale. Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Participate in architecture reviews with functional consultants and architects in ECC, MDG and S/4HANA
  • Actively drive design and architecture deliverables within project constructs
  • Influence teams from multiple organizations to use SAP standard solutions
  • Accountable for retention of critical intellectual property
  • Exercise independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Stay educated on existing, emerging technologies and do POCs to evaluate technology fits for customer needs
  • Able to present to leadership on the risk analysis and custom code usage patterns with mitigation plans.
  • Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are: well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable.
  • Collaborate effectively with other disciplines of the project team.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience and skills:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.

  • 8 years of SAP ECC Functional OTC and P2P
  • 8 years of SAP MDG Techno-functional experience in Material, BP, Supplier, Customer, Finance experience

  • SAP S/4HANA functional experience

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a team environment to design and implement SAP system solutions and should have deep understanding of SAP ECC, MDG and S4HANA. As part of this team, the individual will primarily focus on enhancing, redesigning and improving the performance in Mater data governance. Essential skills include a hands-on working knowledge of SAP ECC, MDG, SD Pricing, SAP S/4HANA.
