Job Description

TITLE: Lead Data Science Analyst

DUTIES: Discover Products Inc. seeks Lead Data Science Analyst in Riverwoods, IL to lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics including customer segmentation, optimization, prescriptive analytics and machine learning algorithm and recommendation to solve business problems. Operate as subject matter expert on statistical analysis, test and design of experiment, analysis methodology, modeling and application, and financial impact analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs, formulate and complete end-to-end analyses that include data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations. Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership, creating visual displays of quantitative information. Establish and maintain effective performance tracking; identify improvement opportunity, form hypotheses, propose, design and implement tests to drive strategy enhancement and optimization. Manage multiple priorities, communicate business performance and project progress to management and business partners. Develop and automate reports, iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for analytical needs. Facilitate implementation of work product and ensure accuracy. Consistently follow standard work processes and documentation requirements. Recommend improvement to work processes to increase efficiency while maintaining quality of work. Continuously improve technical and leadership skills through training and development. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Financial Engineering, Applied Economics, Computer Science, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in job offered or related position: performing fraud prevention and quantitative analytics; utilizing big data technologies including Tableau, Hadoop, and Spark; and utilizing programming languages including SQL, SAS, Python, and R.
