Augmentation Loop is the platform for bringing machine learning and AI-powered features into Office applications, for assisting tens of millions of users every single day, across all major operating systems and form factors. This platform is used today by first-party engineers for building scenarios around text and voice intelligence among others. It comprises of a massive scale service and client components that work together to orchestrate these scenarios.

You are an engineer with a real passion for building platforms. You are well versed in native code development and have a good understanding of performance and cross-platform compatibility. Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be leading the development of our C/C++ client SDK. You will be the technical lead of a crew of 2-4 engineers in charge of delivering components that can be reused across a wide variety of client-side applications for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS. This is an action-oriented, hands-on, design and development position. You will act as an expert in areas of client development inside and outside of the Office ecosystem. You will contribute in component design and implementation, debugging/troubleshooting the client stack, and driving analysis of stability and performance issues. You will be part of team leadership and key contributor to directing our technical investments.

Qualifications

5+ years developing client applications and components
Strong familiarity with C/C++
Familiarity with Java, Objective-C, and cross-platform development
Experience working in a large and complex codebase
Experience working with internal and external partners
