The US Gaming and 1p Hardware Channel Marketing team is looking to hire a customer and partner-centric marketer to lead how we bring Microsoft hardware products to life with some of our biggest retail partners in the world.  

This position will be responsible for driving sell-thru by developing a full-funnel Retail channel marketing strategy at key US retailers for the Xbox ecosystem of products.  Working with Category management and Sales, you will define our Retail marketing and customer experience across digital channels, visual merchandising, RSP training and advocacy and field labor, for your account(s).  And you will define the demand gen and promotional activities to drive the business at these accounts with particular focus on digital transformation and marketing.  A combination of launching new products while continuing to drive established businesses - developing, implementing and measuring retailer specific promotions and marketing plans.

We are looking for a strong planner and collaborator, someone with excellent attention to detail, who can do what it takes to partner with Sales, Merchandising and Category to execute flawlessly at Retail.  You will succeed by being the expert on the consumer, the competition, the account-specific business drivers, our partners, and competitive & business trends for respective products in the relevant businesses. In addition, you’ll have a high level of business acumen and the ability to understand the impacts of our marketing activity on retail partner sell thru performance and other relevant metrics.

Responsibilities

Understand the consumer and marketplace dynamics impacting the Microsoft hardware categories (Specifically Xbox). Understand consumer purchase habits by account and product.
Drive agreement on key channel objectives for these categories with account teams and accounts.
Develop a close working relationship with the account executive, category managers, 3rd party partners, worldwide retail channel marketing, and most importantly, the retailer(s).
Develop marketing plans for respective retailers/partners based on collaboration with category managers and account teams. Plans will encompass the MS and partner goals and expectations, be differentiated by account and ensure in-store and online brand ownership, category assortment, promotions, merchandising, sales contest, etc. and they will be grounded in your knowledge of the levers for driving share and revenue at the account level (e.g. on price, shelf presence, display, features, promotions, convenience, etc.).
Manage multi $m budgets to maximize ROI and sell-thru
Drive execution of these marketing plans.  Top notch project management is a critical element of this role.
Help to establish a Go-To-Market strategy that tells the Microsoft hardware stories:  In-Store, On-line, and On-Ad.  

Qualifications

Retail Experience - channel or category; 4-6 years relevant experience; understanding the Microsoft business a plus  
A mix of business planning and execution skills. 
Strong project management skills.
Experience developing efficient work plans for complex projects involving many groups. Effectively coordinate and implement plans. Ability to manage multiple projects.
Proven experience with plan-o-grams, RSP training, Online merchandising and marketing, and in-store visual merchandising projects
Experience of digital marketing including SEO, SEM, social, CRM and display advertising
Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
Strong collaboration skills - ability to effectively influence others in multiple groups and collaborate to achieve specific goals.
Illustration of required Microsoft competencies  
BA required; MBA preferred
