Responsibilities

We are looking for a developer that is passionate about distributed systems, service monitoring and alerting, and building world-class infrastructure which will be used to expose the Azure Monitors and Platform Health to all Azure customers to reduce the time taken to identify root cause (platform vs application issue). The Health and Alerting services process over 20-Billion requests per day and fires over 3 million alerts per month for internal and external customers.

You will be responsible for working on features for Health and Alerting Services which powers Azure Monitor and Resource Health. You will be also be working on improving Scale, Availability, data quality and latency issues for the Health and Alerting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
  • 4+ years of software Design/Development/Testing experience
  • Proficiency in coding, code reviews, and technical communication

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms.
  • Prior experience working on C# or building applications on Service Fabric.

Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Candidates must have an active TS and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph) or have an active TS/SCI and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph). This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance.
