The Data Protection and Threat Resistance team is responsible for making the operating systems used in Microsoft PCs, devices and the Azure cloud trustworthy. We produce cutting edge data protection and hardening features such as Bitlocker and HVCI. These tools equip device owners, manufacturers, and service operators to define how devices are used, even in the presence of hostile software and attackers. DPTR safeguards user secrets, giving confidence that even sophisticated modern threats cannot access data outside where and to whom they are intended.


This developer will contribute across the Data Protection and Threat Resistance team scope. They will ship platform security features and drive scenarios across the Cloud & AI org. In addition, the developer will mentor developers elsewhere in the team and lead engineering initiatives across platform security.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant industry experience with C or C++ development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record shipping large products and in large organizations
  • BS or above in Computer Science or related field

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Screen: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
