We are looking for passionate, energetic and collaborative engineer interested in learning broadly across feature areas, solving complex problems, and regularly shipping software updates with top quality that directly improves customer experience, security, performance, and reliability of the Windows platform. We partner with customers and feature teams across the entire company to design and drive new features and changes for future products. While the work is technically rewarding, our team also provides the unique opportunity to showcase cross-group collaboration, and leadership skills needed to grow quickly. You will be part of a very strong software engineer team and would be working on core operating system security technologies like Platform Integrity, Windows Authentication, Smart Cards, Windows Hello, Biometrics, Bitlocker, Secure-boot, Windows ACLs and other core security technologies.


  • Investigating and debugging customer issues in Core Security features
  • Designing and implementing resolutions to customer issues
  • Own E2E Windows OS core Security features
  • Participating in code reviews and design reviews
  • Working on validation of customer scenarios to ensure quality
  • Work with peers in Program Management or other development teams to plan & prioritize the development and test strategy to ensure high quality and timely delivery of the fixes


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience with C/C++/C#

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with C/C++
  • Experience in Debugging
  • Experience in Kernel mode/system programming experience will be plus
  • Solid problem solving and development skills
  • Solid design and development skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
