This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the team responsible for Azure IoT Central, a Software as a Service (SaaS) product that lowers the entry bar for building IoT Solutions and helps deliver on our goals of "Simplifying IoT". Azure IoT Central is bringing IoT solutions to the mass markets with key capabilities spanning device connectivity, device management, edge computing, advanced analytics, and command & control functionality. As a PM on our team you will own partnering with customers and partners to understand and build the features they need to securely connect and onboard their IoT Devices at scale to IoT Central as well as build the features that enable powerful remote management of those devices at scale.

We are looking for a smart and inquisitive Program Manager 2 who loves to dig in as an individual contributor, and also enjoys tackling big, complex problems. Customer empathy and paying close attention to the voice of the customer/partner is imperative for success in this fast-rolling environment. You will be responsible for envisioning and scoping key features throughout the product by collaborating with researchers and end customers to garner insights about our users, designers to envision transformative experiences, and developers to build performant, reliable, and compliant frontend and backend capabilities. Ultimately, you will be pivotal to shaping our device developer experience for Azure IoT Central.

Responsibilities

Gathering and analyzing customer requirements, feedback, and using that analysis to prioritize investments

Combining customer data, designs, product strategy, and creativity to deliver clear feature specifications to the engineering team

Driving project management for investments across multiple engineering feature crews to ensure timely delivery of features

Listen to and learn directly from customers and through customer data to ensure we’re making correct decisions each step of the way

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as a technical Product/Program Manager working in an agile development environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ of hands-on IoT experience
  • Strong passion for delivering simple and elegant end-user experiences.
  • Experience working across multiple groups or teams.
  • Experience with large ISV and/or IHV partner engagements at a technical level
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate with internal and external partners

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check. This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
