Microsoft's Core Services Engineering & Operations (CSEO) group is leading the company’s Digital Transformation journey. The Core Platform Fundamentals Team is looking for a seasoned Software Development Engineer.  In this role you will build and manage enterprise services using the latest Azure cloud technologies. The service needs to provide critical support for Microsoft internal engineering operations. You will interact with many partners to build solutions that enable them to adopt a secure, compliant, and streamlined engineering service.


You will work closely with a team of developers and PMs to support our core services. You are expected to follow the best practices of compliance and modern engineering standards. We constantly explore new opportunities to grow our tool set. Exploring new technology and prototyping new ideas are highly encouraged.  


You will be working with a team of Software Engineers responsible for the end to end design and development of engineering services that provides a secure, compliant, and efficient engineering process at scale. Influencing clouds services design, implementing them and working with partners across CSEO will be significant part of this job.  

We are looking for a seasoned software engineer with solid technical design and coding skills. Experience building UX, and passion for engineering process are a plus.


Experience Required:

- BA or BS in Computer Science or related discipline or relevant experience.

- 3+ years’ experience writing in C#/C/C++/Java/Python or other high level language.

- Experience owning and developing features end-to-end.

Experience Preferred:

- Knowledge of Azure DevOps is a plus.

- Knowledge of Git is a plus.
