Meaningful Work from Day One
Responsible for member service functions and processing of loan documentation for Jack Daniel Employees’ Credit Union, a state chartered credit union with assets of over $30 million, loans of $18 million, and membership of approximately 2200.

What You Can Expect

Responsible for member service functions and processing of loan documentation for Jack Daniel Employees’ Credit Union, a state chartered credit union with assets of over $30 million, loans of $18 million, and membership of approximately 2200.

Interview credit union loan applicants, professionally representing the credit union throughout the process. Research background information on loan applicants and resolve discrepancies. Process loan applications and perform a variety of support duties related to the lending function within the credit union. Perform other duties as needed in a small credit union environment.

Mail, e-mail or direct members to loan applications and/or information to members and prospective members.

Gather background information on loan applicants, researching any discrepancies.

Interview loan applicants in-person or by phone.

Assist members with the loan application process to ensure completeness of information. Ensure that all members feel welcomed to the credit union and are supported professionally in the process.

Answer questions for members throughout the process. Explain the loan process to include loan options, insurance required on credit union loan products, loan policies, interest rates, payoffs, etc.

Complete loan applications over the phone or electronically.

Verify employment of persons applying for loans.

Present application and supporting information to loan officer for approval.

Maintain filing system and procedures to monitor that the required documentation is received and maintained appropriately and according to policies and procedures.

Purge loan files by destroying out-of-date or unnecessary loan documents.

Notify vendor to place security interest of credit union on title document or insurance document. Ensure that the documentation on titles is accurate and up-to-date.

Inputs loan information into the system.

Prepares denial documentation and mails to member as needed.

Supports loan officer with research as needed for loan compliance updates, procedure changes, business continuity system updates.

Cross-sell credit union products and services.

Assists with credit union opening or closing as needed.

Performs member transactions as needed and assists members with account questions as needed.

Assists with VISA credit card applications and input into the system. Also assists members with questions or account maintenance of VISA credit card accounts.

Assists with credit union functions as needed and represents the credit union in the community.

Assists with opening member accounts when needed.

Performs other duties as needed in a small credit union environment.

We are looking for People Who

Have a High School/GED Degree.

Have experience in Banking or Credit Union field.


Have the ability to independently manage and complete assigned workload within established deadlines utilizing initiative, discretion, and independent judgment.


Have excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external personnel. Proven analytical mathematical skills; ability to handle detailed information with a degree of accuracy.


Have the ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with sensitive financial information.
