Come join the Office platform Core team! Work with a team of highly capable engineers to develop a world class platform for service delivery of JavaScript and browser extensions to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook on PC, Mac, IOS, Android and Online. The core platform is used to develop cross platform feature deployed as part of Office 365. It also forms the basis of Web add-in platform used by first and third-party developers. Our customers are consumers and business users who use the features built on our platform and the developers who built those features. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a major platform in Office and at the same time grow your expertise in various areas along the way.

Responsibilities

  • Work with partner teams inside and outside of Microsoft to define, design and ship new feature in the Web add-in platform.
  • Drive the team in adopting relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes from Microsoft and industry.
  • Advocate for engineering practices that ensure safe and fast paced releases.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience designing and implementing software in C/C++, ObjectiveC and JavaScript.
  • Proven track records for delivering highly complex solutions on time and with high quality.
  • Prior experiences working in Office codebase or driving user experience project a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS or related field.
  • Passion to work on hard core technical problems related to building a consistent extensibility platform across different platforms: PC, Mac, iOS, Android and Online.
  • Passion to collaborate in teams and delight customers with high quality software.
  • Experience with modern web development stack and open source community.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
