Strategic Account Technology Strategist (S-ATS)

As S-ATS you will be at the forefront of our digital transformation efforts with USINDOPACOM. You work exclusively to dissect the USINDOPACOM mission requirements, map industry trends to the technical foundation, understand and translate where the combatant commander wants to go, and orchestrate resources to make that vision a reality. Improvement is a given and disruption a must for the S-ATS. Your technical acumen and industry expertise enable USINDOPACOM to execute the mission like never before. You will be a member of a team that aspires for the mission platform to be based on Microsoft Azure Cloud, Modern Workplace solutions, and Microsoft Dynamics 365, while simultaneously respecting legacy platforms as needed.

As S-ATS you will report to the Sales Manager and will be the owner of the CIO/CTO relationship and contributor to the COCOM leadership relationship owned by your peer, the Strategic Account Executive. As a Strategic Account Technology Strategist (S-ATS), consider yourself a dedicated virtual CTO who has mastered your customer’s industry and related key scenarios.

Qualifications

We are looking for you to master USINDOPACOM’s mission, and Microsoft’s capability to help them drive their digital transformation. You must have a track record in supporting USINDOPACOM or any of its supporting commands and may have performed in positions such as CIO, CTO, or TD. The broad scope of responsibility of this role requires a solid understanding of both business and technology strategy, change management, and a principled approach to broad digital transformational challenges and opportunities. You may also share a common set of characteristics – such as strong leadership and people skills - and bring the experience that drive innovation and customer value.

As S-ATS you will be responsible for the following:

Digital transformation –
Disrupting the mindset of customers and sales teams by bringing innovative ideas that showcase Microsoft’s unique value proposition 
Leadership –
Orchestrating technical teams in order to help solidify the path to the complex, yet exciting journey that is digital transformation. Beyond orchestration, you will display the ability to rely on the help of others and ensure there is a vested interest to engage.
Technical architecture ownership -
Leading the design and delivery of technical architectures with in the USINDOPACOM theatre.
Technical sales leadership –
Differentiating yourself by having a combination of a strong focus on line-of-business platform and related industry solutions
Executive presence –
Owning relationships with technology executives –CIO/CTO and members of their office and influencing relationships with combatant command leadership

Qualifications

You have experience in digital transformation roles
Experience working with or a part the USINDOPACOM.
5 plus years of sound experience leading technical teams and/or technical sales experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or business administration related degree or equivalent experience.
  • Additional training or education in business, sales, or marketing would be ideal, but not a must-have
  • Experience in business consulting or consultative selling is desired

Cloud Screening: Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.

The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance or higher. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
