We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer II who is passionate about driving world class engineering solutions for the SAP MDM team and collaborate with SAP on the future direction.

We are looking for Software Engineer who is ready to be a part of a team that moves fast, leverages continuous delivery practices, and is centered at the customer experience. This position requires strong collaboration and teamwork across team and organizational boundaries, playing a vital role in engineering services that delight the customer.

As a Software Engineer you will drive SAP solutions for Microsoft MDM Services in the following business process/modules: SAP master data management in MDG, SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), SAP S/4HANA.

Your ability to be the technical leader, focus on service first, and part of a team that tears down silos to deliver the best service experience will be critical to your success, along with the teams.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in architecture reviews with functional consultants and architects in ECC, MDG and S/4HANA
  • Actively drive design and architecture deliverables within project constructs
  • Influence teams from multiple organizations to use SAP standard solutions
  • Accountable for retention of critical intellectual property
  • Exercise independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Stay educated on existing, emerging technologies and do POCs to evaluate technology fits for customer needs.
  • Able to present to leadership on the risk analysis and custom code usage patterns with mitigation plans.
  • Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable.
  • Collaborate effectively with other disciplines of the project team.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of hands on SAP MDG / S/4HANA Implementation experience on large scale projects for Master data management/Governance.
  • Experience with SAP ECC Functional OTC and P2P
  • SAP MDG Techno-functional experience in Material, BP, Supplier, Customer, Finance experience
  • Some minor infrequent travel may be required
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative skills and/or practical experience is required
  • The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
    • Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Preferred, not required:

  • SAP S/4 HANA experience
  • Inherently curious, energized by large challenges, and interested in making a significant impact on a globally scaled business
  • Experience developing industry standard algorithms applicable to analyzing current business service behavior through telemetry
  • Experience developing standards in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations
  • Must have ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced, multiple initiatives environment
  • Practical experience with Agile at scale (Scaled Agile Framework a plus!)
