Are you interested in a fast-paced job full of new opportunities? If so, you might be a candidate for the Microsoft Detection and Response Team (DART).  The team is looking for a strong, experienced Business Analyst consultant to join our client-facing response team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of vast data sources and know exactly how, when, and which data to use to tackle business problems.
  • Evolve current processes and architecture to leverage Azure Data Explorer, Azure Data Lake and other Azure data functions.
  • Develop reporting to track financial and operational performance; collaborate with additional stakeholders on reporting cadence and requirements.
  • Develop reporting to track what DART is seeing on the front lines, including attacker behaviors and trends to better inform engineering partners.
  • Using Kusto Query Language (KQL) and Azure Data Explorer, develop new automations used for investigations and hunting during customer engagements.
  • Collaborate on the continued evolution of DART’s customer-facing Power BI deliverables.
  • Work with partner teams in collaboration projects
  • Work effectively both independently and as a team,and manage through ambiguity.   

Qualifications

  • BS Computer Science / Engineering or comparable experience in a related discipline
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in Power BI and DAX
  • Experience in SQL, Azure Data Explorer (Kusto), Kusto Query Language (KQL)
  • Experience with git and Azure DevOps
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a passion for quality, and the ability to deal with ambiguity

Experience in the following areas is a plus:

  • Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Cosmos and Scope
  • Ability to work independently and perform rapid solution engineering under time constrained conditions with limited support
