The Systems Research Group in Microsoft Research Redmond is devoted to advancing the state of the art in cloud computing, distributed systems, and operating systems, while making systems secure, scalable, fault-tolerant, manageable, fast, and efficient.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in computer science, or a related field
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed CS conferences/journals, including at least one publication in ASPLOS, EuroSys, FAST, HPCA, ISCA, MICRO, NSDI, OSDI, PLDI, POPL, S&P, SIGCOMM, SIGMETRICS, SIGMOD, SOSP, USENIX ATC, USENIX Security, or VLDB.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to work in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment
  • Demonstrated leadership potential in research
  • Significant participation and activity in the scientific community on program committees, editorial boards, etc.
