We are the Intelligent Cloud Communication and Collaboration (IC3) team in Microsoft and our platform powers Microsoft Teams collaboration experiences.
The Live Events platform team in IC3 is chartered to build the best-in-class live events products and platforms to serve 1P (through MS Teams) and 3P customers and is looking for a strong product leader to define the strategic vision and product/platform capabilities and drive the teams to execute on this vision.
As a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for envisioning and building world-class platform and product to power large scale live events experiences such as virtual conferences, webinars, fan shows, sports events (e.g. NFL, NBA), music festivals and many more.

In this role, you are responsible for all phases of the product: definition, execution, measurement, customer success and growth.
You will partner with multiple engineering, product, and data science teams in envisioning and building best platform capabilities.
You will co-create the digital and data product strategy, elevating the customer and user experiences through technology and enhancing customers’ and users’ digital journey and experiences.

Responsibilities

As a key member of our mission-focused, multi-disciplinary team, you will:

Drive the definition of scenarios and requirements into useful product specifications that represent our customer and business needs.

Create product plans and manage the successful delivery of the engineering required to meet those plans.

Operate collaboratively and inclusively across the organization to positively contribute to the culture of the team.

Contribute to product innovation and manage through ambiguity as self-starter within a new product “startup” within a large company.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:


7+ years of program management or product management experience delivering end-user facing products and services.


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Essential Skills:


Ability to wear many hats and learn quickly, and the collaborative leadership skills to lead a change in direction when needed. 


Innate curiosity and ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly-changing startup environment. Self-starters and innovators with a positive, collaborative can-do attitude and bias for action are very welcome. 


Strong project management, leadership, dependency management and cross-group collaboration skills with a track record of managing complex projects with many partners. 


Experience across the entire product lifecycle – from project inception to ship and the know-how required to lead your crew to realize your vision. 


Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills through all levels of the organization, technical and non-technical.  


Great problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
