Strategic Account Executive
Seeking a Strategic Account Executive who will work within the Department of Defense Joint Account Team, a division of Microsoft’s Federal Sector. This individual will develop and execute a comprehensive business plan for the Joint DoD customers focused on digital transformation and enterprise solution revenue opportunities. Envision working jointly with this customer to merge business vision with engineering roadmaps to enable market-making innovations. Candidate will provide the executive presence for the customer relationships and play a critical role in driving the customer's digital transformation journey. As the Strategic Account Executive, you will maximize customer/Microsoft relationships to drive enterprise solutions within the territory.
This position will be filled with an experienced, professional account executive and communicator who is comfortable in front of large groups as well as senior intelligence and industry personnel and should have a good understanding of Microsoft solutions and associated technologies.

The Strategic Account Executive will be responsible for the following:
Business Strategy- Understand the customers’ business, business strategy and industry direction and manage a long term, sustainable business portfolio.
Digital transformation – Disrupt the mindset of customers and sales teams by bringing innovative ideas that showcase case for change and Microsoft’s unique value proposition
Relationship Building - Expand strategic customer relationships to drive larger impact for the customer and to deliver business outcomes.
Chief People Leadership – Mobilize, orchestrate, mentor and lead the Microsoft Account Team, partners and customer in order to help solidify the path to the complex yet exciting journey that is digital transformation.
Business Development Artistry - Responsible for articulating the joint business plan and business opportunity generation with continuous learning and improvement industries such as Government.
Ability to develop complex sales strategies that clearly define goals, strategies/tactics and metrics for measuring success. Excellent written and verbal skills and a proven track record within Federal accounts. Must be able to sell at a strategic level in the territory and be able to develop strategies to move forward and close opportunities. Ability to understand a customer's business issue and work with the virtual team to architect a buying vision around Microsoft solutions that solve business issues. Operational excellence in managing a pipeline of opportunities, revenue forecasting and conducting account/forecast reviews with senior management. Manage all aspects of the relationship between the customer, Microsoft, and industry partners.
5+ years technology sales experience selling within the Defense or Government community.
Experience with Microsoft technologies or competitive solutions and the ability to quickly gain solid understanding of Microsoft technologies, solutions, and business value
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
Cloud Screening: Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis
The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
