Microsoft has been making significant investments to enable customers to move their virtualization workloads to the cloud. With the recent release of Windows Virtual Desktops, customers can now provide a full Windows desktop experience optimized for Office 365 in a multi-user environment hosted on Azure. We have exciting new opportunities in the Commercial Management Experience (CMX) team to help customers take advantage of modern technologies to provide virtualized apps and desktops hosted on Azure.
As a Principal Program Manager (PM) in the CMX team, you will get an amazing opportunity to demonstrate leadership at both business and technology level. You will get to extend your knowledge of desktop virtualization and technical areas including Windows, Office, and our cloud-based management suite, and drive product improvements into Azure / Windows Virtual Desktop. You will be part of a team designing new capabilities for our core products to enhance the value to our customer base. This will also include customer and partner meetings and a small amount of travel.
The goal of CMX is to delight users and free up IT. The primaryfocus of the CMXproducts and servicesis to provide the best user experience with Microsoft 365. While we’ve gained a lot of knowledgefrom many different, existing channels, we need to explore, define, and develop even more insightsto delight customers, enable proactive operations and support, and reduce cost to us, customers, and partners. We need a clear vision and deep understanding of customer needs to drive both short-term and long-term wins.
Windows Apps and Desktopsremainthe mission critical component of our enterprise customers’ workplace and is therefore acritical aspect of our customer promise. We need to work with enterprise customers and partners to gather and prioritize requirements to help them successfully migrate their workloads to the cloud, where they can remain productive, secure, and up-to-date.
In this PrincipalProgram Management (PM) role, you will work closely with multiple engineering teams in Microsoft (e.g.,Windows Virtual Desktop, Azure,Windows, Office, Microsoft Endpoint Manager), as well as with external partners to develop strategy and drive execution to deliver demonstrable value to customers and market. As apart of the role, you are expected toprovide strong business and technical expertise in solving difficult problems, turn ideas into high-quality software and services, and ultimatelycreateor strengthen unique value propositions for the CMX products and services.
