As a principal engineering lead on the Mixed Reality Toolkit (MRTK) team, you will be responsible for driving the next generation of innovation into Microsoft’s Mixed Reality developer platform. You will identify new needs of Unity developers to build compelling applications for mixed reality products and services through the open source MRTK (http://aka.ms/mrtk). You will build a strategy that spans interactive controls, surface reconstruction, hands and eye poses and voice. Demonstrating engineering excellence in fundamentals like performance, thermals, compliance, telemetry and engineering systems is an essential element of the role. You will set direction, build alignment and be accountable to customer value with designers, program managers, customer engagement teams as well as a vibrant open source community. As a people manager, you will be a top example of growth mindset through the management principles of Model, Coach and Care
- 8+ years of software design and development experience with multiple shipped releases.
- 3+ years of experience building applications in Unity
- Proficient in C++, C# and .NET framework
- A degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
