Lead responsible for open source compute running on Azure including Linux and Kubernetes.
Manage a team of 50+ engineers working in upstream open source projects and bringing open source back to the Azure cloud platform. Responsible for production reliability, security and improvements to both the open source projects on Azure as well as improvements to the core open source projects. Areas of contribution include both modern cloud-native open source like Kubernetes as well as traditional open source in the Linux ecosystem. Other responsibilities include representing and advocating for platform level changes and improvements to ensure that Linux and Cloud Native open source on Azure is best of breed.
- 5-10 years of software development experience with technical leadership in open source development.
- Experience managing a diverse team of software engineers.
- Experience working with remote, distributed teams.
- Experience contributing and working with open source communities.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience required.
