As the world around us is shifting more and more to remote work and digital interactions, our customers are looking for solutions to help them engage their own customers and continue to deliver their services to them. A key aspect of this transformation is our customers’ acute need to offer their customers a way to schedule both online and in-person services such as medical consults, financial-consulting sessions, appointments with retail associates, teacher-student sessions, and more. Microsoft Bookings is the Microsoft 365 app that was designed exactly for that! In the past 12 months we’ve seen an unprecedented acceleration in customer demand for Bookings, which has been growing exponentially. Therefore, we’re looking for a self-driven and passionate product marketer who is looking for an opportunity to own a live product end-to-end as a Product Marketing Manager (PMM), and build a strong skill-set across inbound and outbound work.
Partner with the Bookings Engineering team to design the product roadmap based on customer feedback, usage data and competitive analysis. Bookings has a dedicated Program Management (PM), and Engineering teams for whom you’ll be the primary marketing owner. In addition to Bookings, there will be opportunities to partner with our engineering teams on incubation products related to Calendaring and Time Management. Own the Bookings marketing plan across all channels and segments. Your accountability will include prioritizing marketing moments, owning our disclosure approach, leveraging social channels to amplify news and develop a community of fans. We have just made bookings available to Enterprise customers given the strong demand, and the Bookings plan now needs to cover all commercial segments, including Enterprise. Engage the Microsoft field and FastTrack to help the sales industry teams (e.g. Financial Services, Healthcare, etc.), Enterprise account teams, and the FastTrack Managers land the value of Bookings with their customers. Be a product advocate to help evangelize Bookings with customers through direct customer interactions and by empowering our customer community forums. Bookings is now also available as an app within Teams, so you’ll be working to promote Bookings as a standalone app, in addition to partnering with the Teams PMM team to co-promote Bookings in Teams for medical virtual visits and additional new scenarios. In this role you will be expected to generate high-impact ideas, engage and influence stakeholders across engineering, marketing and business-planning disciplines while driving initiatives to completion. This role is part of the Outlook and Exchange PMM team and may include accountabilities that go beyond Bookings.
This position requires 2+ years in product marketing, product management or program management. In addition, candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellent oral and written communications abilities, strong analytical and interpersonal skills - including the ability to interact with senior engineering and marketing leaders.
