About this role:

Samsara is looking for a talented Video Editor/Videographer to create engaging storytelling content for, social media, and both internal and customer-facing events. Our ideal candidate has experience in both filming and editing, has a sophisticated eye for composition and lighting, has intermediate experience in animation/Adobe After Effects, is a willing and solution-oriented collaborator—and last but not least—a great storyteller than can communicate concepts effectively and concisely. A demo reel is required to be considered.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with Creative Director, Designers and Marketing to build storyboards and video concepts
  • Create videos and video templates/guidelines for both customer and employee facing content.
  • Capture customer testimonials which can include traveling to customer sites
  • Be involved in all technical aspects of video production
  • Help up-level Samsara’s visual language for video and motion graphics
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for this role:

  • Professional experience in Video Editing and Motion Graphics
  • Comfortable working collaboratively or independently depending on the project
  • Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders
  • Be able to follow stylistic guidelines as well as push our visual language forward
  • Drone piloting/video capture

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Advanced motion graphics skills are a plus.

Regarding COVID-19

With the spread of COVID-19, Samsara's global offices will remain closed until further notice with the exception of employees that require access to hardware and lab equipment.

Our primary concern is for the health and well-being of our employees as well as candidates. We have transitioned all interviews and onboarding to be conducted virtually via Zoom video conferencing. Employees are also able to work from countries and states where Samsara is a registered entity through June 2021. All employees are expected to return to our offices when they reopen with the exception of field-based roles.
