Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, every Atlassian will have the choice to work from an office or from home.
Our team is looking for principal data scientist to own the roadmap for attribution at Atlassian. As part of the Core Analytics team, you'll help develop tools and data products that drive the business forward through the creative application of sophisticated statistical and analytical techniques. You'll partner across the business with marketing, sales, and product teams to build a holistic view of our business.
Your responsibilities will include building attribution models for specific metrics as well as building out standard methodologies for attribution at Atlassian. We are looking for a difference maker, with a great blend of strategy and execution. You will be a mentor, multiplier, doer, and awesome communicator rolled into one. Atlassian is growing fast, your job is to give us the tools to understand and accelerate this growth.
On the first day, we'll expect you to have
- 5+ years of relevant experience using data to build software at industry-leading companies
- 3+ years of Attribution Modeling experience
- Expertise in SQL and one of Python or R
- A passion for conceptualizing and developing clean data pipelines for generating features, model validation and data visualization
- Excellent communication to garner trust and bring forecasts close to product drivers
- Ability to turn complex findings and results into a compelling narrative and a set of actions
- Strong sense of accountability, self-drive, and the ability to function independently
- Passionate about products, and about analytics as a craft
- Undergraduate in a technical subject from a top school
It's great, but not required, if you have
- Experience in both enterprise (or B2B) as well as consumer (or B2C) environments
- Track record of presenting at meet-ups and conferences
- MS, MBA or PhD degree in a relevant topic
