The Member Growth Services team is searching for a technical leader who has a deep knowledge of services frameworks, reliability, scalability, and data. This leader will have the opportunity to nurture and growth a collaborative and inclusive Team with different backgrounds.
The team is focus on building and delivery of innovative services that power multiple Microsoft experiences from Windows to data sync across 1st party partners. We continue to expand and allow 3rd party integrations through Microsoft Graph. We are passionate about working together to deliver world-class services to our users and partners. The Team is looking ahead to design and build world class services that will power new experiences on Windows releases – this is a great opportunity to be part of the design and building of high scale services that impacts every user. The Team operates in combined engineering, embraces continuous development, services excellence, and have well optimized Agile processes to support continuous shipping.
You will be leading a team that builds and maintain services that is leveraged by multiple 1st and 3rd party partners from consumer to the enterprise space. You will be a technical leader focused on growing the skills of an incredibly talented, collaborative, and motivated team, while setting the technical direction to deliver high-scale, highly available micro services that leverage the latest technology.
As part of the team, you will have responsibilities to maintain and improve our services in production by proactively monitor, react to customer issues, perform investigations, implement mitigations and deployments to guarantee that we operate a healthy system. You will also be responsible for evaluating system topology and capacity to ensure that services are able to handle user demand.
We are looking for a leader with a passion for mentorship and team building, customer focus and engineering fundamentals, coupled with technical leadership experience in driving high-scale services and the power of data to taken actions/decisions.
This is a great opportunity to define the next set of technical investments and direction for a generic data sync platform that will increase agility, allow seamless partner onboarding while improving service efficiencies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive Experience with managed-code development including C# and/or Java
- Proficiency in RESTful web services technologies (for example JSON, WebAPI, ASP.Net, GraphQL and OData)
- Proficiency in NoSQL data storage systems and patterns (for example Azure Tables, CosmosDB, Cassandra)
- Partnership, communication, and coordination skills
- Understanding of the latest data storage, analysis, and visualization systems
- 5 or more years of cloud service experience
- 10 or more years of general design and coding experience
- Experience with people management and team leadership
- Experience with building, extending, and servicing extremely large scale, high-reliability RESTful web-services
- Experience with OOP, TDD, and agile development models
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
