Come join the Commercial Experiences Group (CXG) purchase team – we are a fast-moving team that owns the checkout experience for M365 and large Azure customers.

We develop and manage the checkout experience for Microsoft 365 – the direct purchasing experience for thousands of customers that acquire Office online daily. We also manage the checkout experience for some of the biggest customers of Azure – one of the fastest growing areas within Microsoft. Our team works on enabling the checkout experience of one of the highest paying Azure customers. This is a customer facing, fast paced development environment. We deploy multiple times weekly and have a CDP to our preprod environment. We use flighting and A/B technology to test our features. We look at live traffic for our features daily. As a Software Engineer on our team, you will work closely with PM and leads both within your group and also across the company to design and implement features within the Checkout experience. You will be an empowered decision maker, moving quickly and taking ownership of large areas of the product. You will be working on highly scalable and distributed back end web services empowering purchase experience for Microsoft products - you will have the opportunity to make a quick impact on joining the team with your expertise. We also have opportunities to work on our client side facing UX driven by React technology, so the position guarantees you to experience a full stack server / client role to empower yourself to ship meaningful services and user experiences. Along with working on client and server codebase, you will have ample opportunity to learn and work on what it takes to run a customer facing production taking service on Azure – there will be opportunity to work right from certificates/ traffic management to debugging customer escalations. You will spend your time learning and working on keeping a large-scale service running in Microsoft – come join the fun!


  • Design and develop key microservices using C#
  • Work on React components for client facing UX
  • Architect and develop highly available and fault-tolerant systems.
  • Design all components, code, tests, and monitoring for your features.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and deliver high quality features. Self accountably and live site responsivities are encouraged in the team.


  • Bachelors degree in computer science/Math/Engineering, or equivalent educational experience
  • 2+ years of strong design, coding, testing and troubleshooting experience with large scale distributed systems
  • Expertise in one of the following languages: C++, Java, C# (Preferred)
  • Expertise in React and / or Angular preferred
