A focus of your rolewill be leading the effort to improve process efficiency and better detect, measure, and report issuesin game titlesthatyou support. You will need to communicate the state of quality, and any risks, back to the publisher and their engagement team for both released titles and titles currently in development. This will leverage your strong communication, partnership, and strategic thinking skills.
Beyonddriving thequality ofgames, we are looking for a person to help us evolve our processes to improve the overallgameplayof titles. You’llleverage data and risk analysis to course correct and adjust the team’s direction, using information generated by both players anddevelopers. This would include investigating title data related to crash rate, fine grain rate limiting, sentiment, and many other factors. As part of the Xbox Game Reliability Engineering team, youwillalsoberequired to interactwith multiple partner teams both inside and outside of Xboxincluding teleconference and in-person presentations.
Asyou’llbe part of the greater XboxProduct Services (XPS)team, you will work to ensure the qualityandreliability of the Xbox ecosysteminits entiretyanddrive towards our goalto reach 2 billion gamers.
- Implementation oftechnical solutionstoassess the quality of games andassociated productsthat increase the reach and engagement of end-users
- Optimization that drives efficacyin the approach to outsourced testing
- Collationoftheactivity across the entire team and distill it conciselyfor broad consumption
- Outreachto internal and external game studios at conferences and other forums
- Ability to develop quality measures and metrics and use those metrics to improve the reliability of games
- Exceptional communication skills with an ability to adapt and tailor communications for different audiences
- 1-3 years of experience in Software Engineeringor Development position
- Computer Science orrelatedBachelordegree preferred
