The CTO team in Power Platform (aka Low Code Platform) is adding a talented and experienced Architect who is well versed in Public Cloud (preferably Azure) Architecture, with Industry-wide expertise on Privacy and Security, with proven strengths in cross-group collaboration, articulating positions and driving consensus at LT levels, and shipping complex products/services over multi-year ship cycles.

This team focuses on cross-cutting work that adds clear and timely business value across the Power Platform: Power Apps; Power Automate; Power Virtual Agents and substrate technologies like Dataverse (CDS). The engineering challenges in bringing these services to the masses at scale (configurability, version consistency, geo-distributed data platforms/services), and with Industry leading Privacy and Security when running at Global Scale are among the most challenging and impactful, across the entire industry.


The successful candidate will be a Privacy/Security domain expert (or one who has been and will be intellectually immersed in that space), capable of formulating Division-wide positions on Security/Privacy for the Power Platform and its umbrella org, the Business Applications Group (BAG), and also drive consensus with VP-level stakeholders across Azure with regards to Security and Privacy. This role is critical for the Power Platform on a number of different dimensions impacting our growth as a global brand, e.g. we are be able to adequately represent our citizen/no-code persona in policy-making.

Second – the successful candidate will drive SDL (Threat Modeling) discussions to closure with Service Teams across the Power Platform, and will therefore have depth and expertise as a Cloud Architect, preferably Azure. These are intense and very detailed discussions that carefully examine and discuss every facet of service engineering for each service team in turn (typically with a complete system architecture diagram showing each external and substrate level dependency), to ensure that there aren’t any Security/Privacy loopholes or back doors.

The above are top business priorities, and goes without saying that this role will have company-wide visibility and impact, with a charter to shape how the industry views Privacy/Security on all public clouds.


  • At least 10 years software development experience
  • Proven multi-year track record of delivering products in a fast-paced environment, on public clouds (preferably Azure) with a global footprint.
  • Have innate curiosity and ability to self-start in an ambiguous and rapidly changing product environment.
  • Depth in Cloud Architecture.
  • Depth in Privacy and Security.
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
