Very few products or software services have had an impactin the Productivity space or have created a larger active user base than Exchange.Beyond being Microsoft365’smessagingbackbone, Exchange is a service that powers many of the Cloud services and experienceswe are able tooffer our customers.
Many areas ofgrowth across the Microsoft 365 product portfolio benefit from capabilitiesanchored in Exchange, whetherrevenue-orientedorusage-oriented, in addition tobringing to life capabilities from our Security and Compliance areas.
As we continue to evolve the Exchange service, we are looking for a Senior Product Marketer to lead it within the Microsoft 365 Business Groupand help chart the course for growth.The remit of this role includes both the Exchange Online service and the Exchangefamily of servers (i.e. Exchange on-premises).
Key components of this job:
Design for growthby partnering with the Engineering and Business Planning teamsin identifying net-new opportunities to drive both revenue and usage growth.As a product marketerthisaccountabilityis about being the “chief growth officer” for the Exchange family of productsby utilizingcustomer feedback, usage data and competitive analysisto nurture existing growth initiatives and kick-off new ones.
Own theExchangemarketing planacrossallchannels and segments. Your accountability willinclude developing the marketing themesand content to continue and land the value of ExchangeOnline.This will require partnerships with other productmarketingteamsto incorporate the value of Exchange Online in their marketing plans, and todrive the engagement with our existing customer base through digital marketing,customer events, and more.
Be a product advocateto helpevangelizeExchange Onlinewith customersthrough direct customer interactions and byempowering our customer community with a focus on the IT audience.Youwilldesign and execute the planto guide them through the Exchange roadmap, future service options, changes to the service they would need to plan for and the training resources available to them.
In this role you will be expectedto generate high-impact ideas,engage and influencestakeholdersacrossengineering,marketingand business-planningdisciplineswhiledrivinginitiatives to completion.This roleis part of the Outlook and Exchange PMM team andmay include accountabilities that go beyondExchange based on opportunities for business growth and Exchange’s integration with so many Microsoft product and services.
This position requires5+ years in productmarketing, product management or program management.An ability to ramp-up on technical topics in an effective manner and be able to participate in and lead discussions with engineeringstakeholders is key.In addition, candidates will be expected to demonstrateexcellent oral and written communications abilities,strong analyticalandinterpersonal skills-including the ability to interact withseniorengineering and marketingleaders.
